Lenora McLeod

A dedicated professional, Lenora McLeod is recognized for her expertise in land administration, Indigenous governance, and community development.

The Manager of Oil and Gas Planning for the Government of the Northwest Territories’ Department of Industry Tourism and Investment, she has over a decade of experience working with governments, organizations, and communities across Canada's North.

Her career path has included roles in finance, environmental review, and policy development—with a consistent focus on collaboration, accountability, and supporting long-term community well-being. Beyond her professional life, Lenora is an active volunteer and board member with organizations such as the Nihtat Gwich’in Council and the Children First Society.

Known for her leadership, organization, and community spirit, Lenora continues to support and advocate for strong, sustainable governance rooted in respect and partnership.  A Gwich’in Beneficiary, she lives in Inuvik with her husband and three children.
