Laura Worsley-Brown

A seasoned communications professional, Laura Worsley-Brown has a wealth of experience in stakeholder engagement, government relations, and corporate communications within Canada’s diamond mining sector. She currently leads communications and government relations at Diavik Diamond Mine, building on over a decade of experience with northern mining operations, including Ekati and Gahcho Kué.
Based in Indonesia for nearly ten years, she advised a wide range of clients in media relations, crisis response, and public affairs. Upon returning to Canada, she served as a policy advisor to federal Ministers of Environment and Transport & Infrastructure before relocating north in 2012 to become Director of Corporate Relations with the Inuvialuit Regional Corporation.
Deeply committed to community collaboration and advancing women’s leadership in mining, Laura is a founding member of the Women in Mining NWT chapter and continues to foster meaningful partnerships across the sector.
