Grace Mackenzie

A respected advocate and cultural bridge-builder, Grace Mackenzie has dedicated her career to fostering strong, respectful relationships between Indigenous communities and the mining industry in the Northwest Territories. A Tłı̨chǫ citizen, she serves as the Mines Liaison Coordinator for the Tłı̨chǫ Government ensuring Tłı̨chǫ citizens are informed, supported, and receiving the benefits they are entitled to through mining agreements.
Grace began her mining career in 1998 at the Diavik diamond mine, later taking on similar roles at Ekati and Gahcho Kué. Â
Recognized for her warm, honest, and collaborative approach, Grace is a trusted advisor to industry, government, and Indigenous leaders alike. For over a decade, she championed the Books in Homes literacy program to schools across the Great Slave Region.
As a leader grounded in experience and guided by a strong sense of community, Grace is committed to advancing the well-being of the Tłı̨chǫ people and supporting sustainable, respectful development across the North.
